The Negozio Olivetti signet is a tribute to the Olivetti showroom in Piazza San Marco in Venice, to its architect Carlo Scarpa, and to the vision of the Olivetti family in their commitment to quality architecture for all its headquarters.

The combination of curves and planes, the different angles created by the movement of the hand, the roundness and elegance of this piece pay homage to the Architettura razionale of Northern Italy, built between the 1920s and 1950s, and to this architectural jewel.

Each piece is handcrafted in our Barcelona atelier and is personalised with two intertwined initials that form a unique monogram for each person.

The two initials must be specified in the "Order instructions" section when you place your order. We will contact you during the design process to show you your monogram.

The body of this piece is made of solid sterling silver and its main motif is a FAIRMINED 18K yellow gold piece on which custom-made initials are engraved.

The two initials must be specified in the ‘Special Ordering Instructions’ section when completing the order. We will contact you during the design process to show you your monogram.

In 1956 Adriano Olivetti commissioned Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa to design the Negozio Olivetti Signet, a small shop in Venice's prestigious Piazza San Marco.

Scarpa spent two years working on this elongated, dark and fragmented space, which he eventually turned into an architectural treasure that can be visited today. The exquisite but sober choice of materials makes this place unique: marble slabs to cover the pillars, rosewood for the shelves where the typewriters rested suspended by steel tubes, Venetian plaster for the walls and ultra-modern fluorescent lights camouflaged under tinted glass.

Every detail of its exterior and interior is loaded with intention and wisdom, starting with the cantilevered staircase connecting the two floors and ending with the mosaics of irregular glass tesserae in different colours marking the different areas of the shop.

CARE

GOLD
Gold jewels should only be cleaned with non-abrasive products, preferably mild soap and water, and then dried with a soft cloth.

SILVER AND BRASS
Jewels made of silver and brass remain shiny when worn often. Over time, however, exposure to moisture and air can cause tarnish, a dark coating on their surface. You can clean them with any metal polisher sold in supermarkets, rubbing gently with a soft clean cloth to prevent scratches. You can then wash them with mild soap and water.
You can also keep them in a drawstring bag of soft cloth that will preserve them from external elements.

GEMSTONES
Jewellery made of precious metals and gemstones can be washed with mild soap and water. If the back of the gemstone needs to be cleaned, you can use a soft brush to gently scrub the less accessible areas.

We know that buying a jewel that you cannot see is difficult. Therefore, you can arrange a call with Teresa Estapé to ask questions, share concerns, listen to suggestions and receive extra information on the pieces you like: videos, photos and advice.
