Each pendant is a unique creation and part of a limited edition of just 30 pieces.

Individually cast, shaped, polished, and engraved by hand in our Barcelona workshop, each one bears the quiet signature of craftsmanship.

At its center hangs a 24-karat gold ingot, suspended from an 18-karat gold chain. On its front, it carries the engraving “Cinco gramos de oro puro Fairmined,” while on the back, its serial number is hand-stamped—singular and unrepeatable.

The typography of the inscription measures barely a millimeter, a detail too delicate to be read from a social distance.

Each piece is presented in a custom-made case handcrafted in Barcelona. The box, fully lined by hand, features a central recess where the ingot rests—its luminous yellow-orange hue glowing softly against the raw fabric beneath.

Every pendant is accompanied by an individual certificate of authenticity.

The 24-karat Fairmined gold, cast in the form of an ingot, evokes the essence of primordial jewelry and its symbolic power—restoring to ornament a value in itself, one that transcends the hollow notion to which it has been relegated since Modernity.

Here, the jewel becomes pure refuge value—part of our instinctive sense of security amid instability. It resonates with the imagery of the financial system within capitalist society: it becomes another ingot in that dense, golden structure resting in the dark vaults of central banks—the foundation upon which our economy, and thus our lives, are built.

This piece is linked to the solo exhibition Oro, papel, diamante presented at Chiquita Room gallery in Barcelona in 2019. Within it, the installation Valor refugio, now part of the MACBA Collection, explores the tension between price and value in contemporary society.

The 24-karat gold in this piece is Fairmined—ethically sourced gold that does not harm the environment and respects the labor rights of the miners who work in its mines.

The Fairmined certification is awarded by ARM (Asociación por la Minería Responsable) in Latin America. Mines under this certification are audited annually and meet strict standards that ensure responsible extraction.

This piece brings together two types of gold. The chain is made of 18-karat gold, also known as fine gold. This material resists wear and oxidation and requires no special maintenance. The ingot that hangs at its center is 24-karat gold—pure gold, without any alloy.

Pure gold is an extraordinary, highly dense material, yet it is also slightly soft. It’s unlikely to be damaged while being worn, but when putting it on or taking it off, take care to avoid contact with hard surfaces that might scratch it or cause it to fall. If it strikes a hard surface, it may mark. Always store it in its case, or wrapped in a soft cloth or pouch that keeps it protected.

We include a polishing cloth so you can gently clean the piece should it ever show traces of dirt or contact with chemicals over time.
