Usually, when a goldsmith manipulates metal, it is with the intent of turning it into an ornament. In Aurum, intervention is minimal, and the material is treated in its purest state. In this case, it is Fairmined gold (obtained from small scale artisanal miner organisations, mindful of the environment and fair labour conditions).
The artist selects the foundry's leftovers, the pliers' pinches on the metal, the castoffs, and all which has no formal value for jewelry, to resignify them, questioning thus the very sense of its worth in market logic. In the face of a jewel-devoted audience, the artist proposes to interpret and relocate it to a space different from the consumer. To produce astonishment at being unable to identify what is observed and valued.

Gold jewels should only be cleaned with non-abrasive products, preferably mild soap and water, and then dried with a soft cloth.
SILVER AND BRASS
Jewels made of silver and brass remain shiny when worn often. Over time, however, exposure to moisture and air can cause tarnish, a dark coating on their surface. You can clean them with any metal polisher sold in supermarkets, rubbing gently with a soft clean cloth to prevent scratches. You can then wash them with mild soap and water.
You can also keep them in a drawstring bag of soft cloth that will preserve them from external elements.
GEMSTONES
Jewellery made of precious metals and gemstones can be washed with mild soap and water. If the back of the gemstone needs to be cleaned, you can use a soft brush to gently scrub the less accessible areas.
