OTHER PEARLS

As a starting point, the reminiscence of the degraded pearl necklaces women wore in the 1950s. The image of white lines above the collars of their dresses, the memory of the slightly cold temperature of natural pearls, their almost perfect shapes, the depth and tone of their orient.

This series recovers a classic material in jewellery—the pearl—and makes it contemporary through an updated and very personal vision. Grounded in the classic spirit of its whiteness and the orderly geometry of its spheres, the pearl is used in a more spatial, architectonic fashion by projecting circular pearly structures and golden lines onto the skin.
