The jewels designed by Teresa Estapé are emotional, symbolic objects. The process of their creation showcases their noble material, their handmade quality without the use of moulds, serialisations or other metal plates.
These silent minimal creations seek to restore the primitive value of the jewels, and hope to turn them into lucky charms. The creative process begins when all that is accessory is gradually removed, leaving the essence, striving to express the maximum with the minimum.
The pieces are painstakingly and precisely made by hand, one by one, in Estapé’s Barcelona workshop. The concept of each collection has matured over time, and the fact that as well as cherishing the features of craftsmanship and design she understands jewellery as an artistic discipline, her jewels become emotionally valuable for those who wear them.
